On Project Management...

choose the right people for the team
estimate the time required to complete tasks accurately
evaluate overall performance after the 1st iteration
create your own template/process on how projects are delivered
run your project as if you were funding it with your own money (claim ownership)

On Choosing Jobs...

choose the job that helps squeeze out some experience
seek opportunities and people that can influence you and promote you
find an environment that will help you find out what you want to do
contact professors and try to participate in their projects

On Being a Person...

never be idle
constantly seek opportunities to promote myself
"if you don't ask, you won't get it"
